Chris Drew - Retired Chief Ranger and Master Storyteller
Retired Chief Ranger Chris Drew is a master storyteller in the great Maine tradition. Chris has a 36-year career with Baxter State Park and is a Baxter legend, as well as one of the most respected veterans of the Park. Chris worked on the front lines for decades and tells some wild and entertaining stories about people, hunting, fishing, outhouses, families, bears, Grizzly Adams, search and rescues, and all things Baxter.

John Neff- First President, Friends of Baxter State Park
Meet the first president of Friends of Baxter State Park, John Neff. John has a remarkable history with Katahdin, serving as the Maine Appalachian Trail Club president, an Appalachian Trail Conservancy board member, and for 20 years, he was the steward of the last section of the Appalachian Trail, the final hike to the northern terminus, the summit of Katahdin.
John also served as the first president of Friends of Baxter State Park and is the author of Katahdin: An Historic Journey - Legends, Explorations, and Preservation of Maine's Highest Peak.
