Membership
Membership is a beautiful way to show your support for Baxter State Park and ensure that the Park forever remains the spectacular wilderness area that it is today. As a grassroots citizen organization, our members are part of everything we do.
Membership dues provide critical support to our advocacy work, trail projects, volunteer programs, youth programs, search and rescue, scientific research, and publications. Friends of Baxter State Park is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and membership dues are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
Forever Friends

Support the Park
Friends of Baxter State Park is a "voice in the wilderness" lending their expertise and support over the years to many Park issues. We weigh in on important matters such as conservation of the areas surrounding the Park, Percival Baxter's vision, and his Deeds of Trust, and we often assist the staff as partners in whatever we can help with, from providing volunteers to educating the public about the Park's use.
Get to Know People
There are lots of ways to enjoy Baxter State Park, and meeting like-minded people is an important way we show our love for this special place. Attending our annual meeting, reading the newsletters, joining us on trips and hikes, listening to podcasts, reading our publications, or just browsing the history of the Park on our website. We think our members are Baxter’s best.
